MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME)’s CSR Club has been conducting various activities to contribute to the initiative for cleanliness. Clean-Up Drive – “Swachhata Hi Seva – Pakhwara 2018” was organized in Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station, Majestic, Bengaluru, in collaboration with Eco-Watch and South Western Railway on 2 October 2018.
The campaign undertook different activities to create awareness among the General passengers, Railway Employees and other stakeholders of the Railway Station about the garbage disposal, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. The campaign was joined by the Railway officers and employees as well.
On the final day of the drive, the top officials from different government departments and social organizations - Mr. R.S Saxena, Divisional Railway Manager, Mr. Santosh Hedge, Director of South Western Railway, Mr.Jayakumar, Assistant Director, Song and Drama, Ministry Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Akshay Heblikar, Director of Eco-watch and various media people accompanied the campaign. They appreciated the efforts of the students and awarded the certificate of appreciation to MIME for its distinguished contribution to the Swachha Bharat Abhiyan.
