9 March 2019
Feelings of happiness due to successful completion of rigours of a post-graduate course on one hand, and feelings of pain due to inevitable separation from beloved friends and teachers on the other, resulted in a state of mixed feelings to the outgoing PGDM 2017-19 students in the Farewell Function organized on 9 March 2019 by MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME). In order to build camaraderie and continuity, the farewell function was aptly titled as "Hasta La Vista" which in the Spanish language means "Till we meet next" and the function was conducted by the students of PGDM 2018-20 Batch.
Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Director, MIME in his initial remarks fondly recollected his interactions with each of the student from PGDM 2017-19 Batch. He reminded the outgoing students that although he is satisfied at the level of expertise acquired by them, there is a constant need for them to improve their learning ability in a gradual and sustainable manner which is necessary to face the increasingly competitive world. Dr. Mishra further urged the students to face the life as it comes and search for ways to meaningfully contribute both at the micro-level i.e., to the organization and to the society.
Many students of the outgoing PGDM batch fondly remembered and acknowledged their enriching experiences and learnings acquired from faculty, staff and their own classmates. Later, several of the faculty members and staff of MIME fondly recollected their pleasant memories regarding the students of PGDM 2017-19 Batch.
