MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME) offers a healthy blend of conceptual foundation in Management and understanding of the real world practice and appreciates the interaction of the students with industry and practitioners in all possible forms. As part of this series, MIME organized Industry session on the topic Role of Individual Behavior in the organization on 14 September 2018 for the PGDM Batch 2018-2020.
The purpose of the session was to provide students an exposure to the real world practices and the role of individual behavior including attitude, personality, perception, and values on their performance and career growth in the corporates.
The session was conducted by Ms. Salitha, General Manager-HR, Nilgiris Dairy farm private limited, India. She is having a vast experience in the field of human resource practices and application and has worked with various Indian and Foreign Multinational companies.
Ms. Salitha covered various issues like leadership skills, teamwork, time management, positive attitude, willingness to learn as mantras for success in the organization. While handling the students question she addressed on the line and staff role of the HR Department, the relationship between various functional department and teams with HR and explained industries’ expectations from the MBA Graduates. She encouraged student’s participation and interaction during the session and focused on learning during management education and the importance of accepting feedback. The session addressed the issues, how an individual can manage within the organization and inheriting hierarchical structure, building trust, building strong networking skills and abilities.
