MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), conducted an inaugural session of its club, MIME STARTUP CLUB on Clubhouse, on July 21, 2021. The club hosted its first-ever room under the title, ‘What it Takes to be an Entrepreneur?’
The Clubhouse is a new and trending social media audio platform for iOS and Android users, where they can interact in voice chat rooms that can absorb thousands of individuals. The audio-only platform permits the hosting of live discussions, with opportunities to participate through speaking and listening.
The guest speaker for the session was Ms. Tejashree Shah, Consultant at iCreate. The objective of the initiative was to provide a platform to the students to discuss and deliberate various issues, opportunities, ideas, and challenges faced by early-stage entrepreneurs and start-up founders. The club is open, and anyone can join it to share their ideas and opinions. Ms. Shah highlighted the need to focus on delivering value to the customer and addressing the pain areas. She said, "The problem can be solved, either by introducing new products or diversifying and adding more features to the existing product." She stressed the need to focus on the product instead of fear of loss. She said, “My biggest fear is myself being fearless.” She highlighted the need for networking as it helps budding entrepreneurs in getting to know the right people with varied expertise and ultimately helps them to fine-tune various operational systems and issues. The session concluded with faculty members sharing their inputs on the event and wishing students a successful journey ahead.
