MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME) organized workshop on Business Communication for the students of I semester of PGDM 2018 - 20 batch on 23 to 26 October 2018.
Mrs. Anjali Ahuja, free-lance trainer in Communication Skills and Personality Development conducted the workshop. The workshop exposed the students to the growing significance of verbal and non-verbal communication in the corporate world. It introduced the students to the fundamentals of Business Communication and made them realize the increasing role and impact of the use of various types of communication in decision-making. These aspects of Communication were further reinforced by making the students perform role plays and debriefing of the communication made by them during the play. Two videos on body language and non-verbal communication were also screened and analysed by the facilitator. Both videos highlighted the importance of Verbal Communication, Body Language, Gestures and Facial Expressions.
Mrs. Mamatha, ex-employee of Bosch and now a free-lance trainer connected the reasons of stress to lack of communication skill and improper time-management. She also focussed on various sources of stress and how to overcome them.The students found the entire workshop very informative/interactive and appreciated the learning.
