MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME) organized a workshop on the topic Emerging trends and Challenges in HR – HR as a Business Partner on 23 March 2019 for the PGDM Batch 2018-2020. The purpose of the workshop was to enlighten the students about the importance of the changing role of HR and HR as a business partner.
The workshop was addressed by Mr. Yogesh Bari, AXA. He is an HRD professional with more than eighteen years of experience. He was associated with Barclays and First American Corporation. Mr. Aneja Chirag, Accenture. He is seasoned HR professional holding recruitment processes, managing campus recruitment for Accenture. Ms. Prerana Arora working as a senior HR and L&D lead in an MNC, hiring workforce across the globe for brands such as Johnsons and Johnsons, HUL. She has also worked in companies such as Ford, Samsung and Manpower group. She was awarded the achievement award for innovative thinking by Asia Pacific region: Ford Motors
Mr. Yogesh Bari covered various topics with regard to the changing role of HR such as the evolution of HR, HR becoming more strategic, the challenging market forces, internal demand for HR. He also spoke about HR as a Business Partner as well. The session was extremely vibrant and interactive. Mr. Aneja Chirag and Ms. Prerana Arora covered the topic emerging trends and challenges in HR. This included key HR insights: sourcing, hiring, soft skills, hiring process challenges, retention, practical setting challenges.
