MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME) offers a healthy blend of conceptual foundation in Management and understanding of the real-world practice and appreciates the interaction of the students with industry and practitioners in all possible forms. As part of this series, MIME organized industry session on the topic Role of Individual Behavior and Attitude in the organization on 13 November 2019 for the PGDM Batch 2019-2021.
The purpose of the session was to provide students an exposure to the real-world practices and role of individual behavior including attitude, personality, perception, and values on their performance and career growth in the corporates.
The session was conducted by Mr. Kumaran Sampath, Director, and CEO, AEGMA Capital Services, India. He is having a vast experience in the field of human resource practices and application and has worked with various Indian and Foreign Multinational companies.
Mr.Kumaran Sampath covered various issues like advantages of owning an optimistic personality, the attitude of an employee at the time of appraisal, the importance of problem-solving attitude, positive attitude, creativity and innovative approach, willingness to learn as mantras for success in the organization. He took us through various examples which helped the students to handle difficult situations. He encouraged students to participate and interact during classes, respect, and gratitude towards people and focused on learning during management education and the importance of accepting feedback.
