20 August 2016
Looking beyond the Brother-Sister relationship, the students of PGDM of 2015-17 and 2016-18 batches celebrated Raksha Bandhan on August 20, 2016 with the orphan children at "Anantha Shishu Nivas" located at N.R Colony in South Bangalore. The “knot of protection” was tied in a sacred manner to the orphan children.
The students spent half a day with the orphan children making them feel special and cared. Various activities were conducted so as to get smile on the face of children of the orphan home. Also, they sponsored breakfast and mass lunch for the children. Gifts such as full set of pencil box, other stationery items and dry fruits were given to the orphan children. Upon interacting with the orphans, it was brought to light that the students of age group 3-16 years resided at the ashram and were being educated at schools in the vicinity of the orphan home.
