MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME) offers a holistic framework in Management for comprehensive knowledge in management practices. One of the key ways of enabling the same is through the interaction of students with industry professionals and practitioners such as guest lectures, interactive sessions, seminars, conferences, workshops, organizational study, etc. This experiential learning method ingrains in students the essence of management skills and application of the tools of management.

The workshop on Knowledge and Skills for employability conducted on February 15 2021 for the PGDM Batch of 2019-2021 was to sensitize the students to the expectations of the corporates, expected skill sets, temperament, and attitude to sustain themselves in the job The session was conducted by Mr. Rajesh CP from I.Expert, Bengaluru who is a Certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner from the National Federation of Neuro-Linguistic Programming - NFNLP, USA with vast experience in the field of Human resource applications and is an impaneled trainer with many Indian, Foreign and multinational companies like EY, KPMG, Deloitte, etc. With an emphasis on the key theme “A Company does not hire you for your efforts but the results”

Mr.Rajesh CP led the students through the workshop by engaging the students in various activities like enabling the students to experience the expectations of corporates, skill sets, temperament, and attitude needed to sustain in the job.

The highlight of the event was introducing students to 12 skills that every company expects from their employees viz., learnability, resilience, agility, collaboration, verbal communication, written communication, empathy, creativity, problem-solving, leadership, negotiation, and technology. He encouraged the students to improve those skills not by just learning but by applying them in real life.

The master of the ceremony was Ms. Sarah Shirley. Mr. Siddhanth Singh was the moderator and the vote of thanks was given by Ms. Firdows Hassan. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Suman Pathak.
