Deeksharambh: Induction Ceremony for New PGDM Students

MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (MIME) organised “Deeksharambh” on 6th July as a part of the orientation programme for the freshly admitted students of PGDM 2023-25 Batch. Sri. Mani P. S. from Saint-Gobain India Private Limited was the Chief Guest for the event.

The invocation function began with “Saraswati Vandana”, followed by the auspicious action of lighting the lamp by the dignitaries and the student representatives of PGDM 2023-25 batch. Dr Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Director, MIME welcomed the gathering and congratulated the students on their admission to MIME. He urged the students to treat their learning journey as a fresh beginning and asked them to set their goals high and work towards the same with full dedication.

Special Guest for the event, Prof. Prakash B.S., Management Thinker and Consultant, welcomed the new students and asked them to utilize the holistic-learning opportunities provided by MIME. He further highlighted the importance of being humble in the learning processes. The Guest of Honour, Sri. Dhiraj Agarwal, CEO and Co-Founder of Campus Sutra Retail Company, urged the students to remain focused and learn on a continuous basis by purposefully using their time and energy. He highlighted the importance of practicing the values of humility, adjust-on, integrity and differentiation as is done in “Campus Sutra Retail, Company”.

The Chief Guest for “Deeksharambh”, Sri. Mani P. S took the opportunity to talk to the new students about the path they have chosen. He motivated them to get into a learning mode by challenging the status-quo and develop a hunger for knowledge. He urged the students to network with new people who can impact their knowledge, while cultivating the art to express themselves.

Prof. Reji Meprathe, MIME conducted the proceedings of the Inaugural session that included the self-introduction by each faculty and staff member of MIME. The event ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Suman Pathak, Professor, MIME followed by the national anthem.
